For small businesses who bleed green

In 2020 VistaPrint became the official patch partner of the Boston Celtics. And while we could’ve used that opportunity to shine the spotlight on ourselves, our aim- was to help highlight small businesses. Over the past few seasons, I’ve worked with the team to not only stand up major charitable initiatives like Small Business of the Game, and the Power Forward Grant in order to bring attention to businesses around Boston, but created fully-integrated campaigns that show shops across New England how VistaPrint can be their design and marketing partner.

As the jersey patch partner of the Boston Celtics, the Vista team wanted to show small businesses in the area that Vista’s roots in Boston run deep. The challenge was to highlight our sports partnership while showing small business owners Vista could create everything they needed to put the spotlight on their shop.

So in order to speak the language of local small businesses we decided to lean into the local language and created pro-shop characters with authentic Boston accents to tell our story. In these two spots that ran sequentially for every locally broadcast game, our heroes prove that if Boston needs it, we print it.

Power Forward

We teamed up with the Boston Celtics and the NAACP to celebrate the third round of our Power Forward program, and our combined commitment to provide $1 million in transformative grants. From community-building events to providing ongoing marketing support, we created a robust program to help Black-owned small businesses. We created this video to capture the moments we gave our 14 newest deserving business owners the surprise of their lives- $25k grants to continue their dreams.

Playoff OOH Push

In order to highlight the Vista + Celtics partnership and provide a platform for local small businesses during the Celtics 2022 playoff push we created a series of OOH creative that featured messages of fan support from small business owners around Boston. With 220+ billboards, mobile ads, and street media signs within a 9-mile radius of downtown Boston, these assets gained over 14m impressions over a 3-day period during playoff home games.
